Today I went to a gathering of the American Women’s Club in Duesseldorf, Germany where Vera Busch gave a lecture and demonstration on: hand painted and dyed traditional Easter eggs from the Ukraine called “Pysanky”. I learned all about the method used to make them, and also a bit about the culture of the Ukraine. I thought it might be boring but it was fascinating. Each region of the Ukraine has it’s own geometric motifs and people have been decorating the eggs this way for hundreds of years. It takes about 6 hours to make just one egg. In the room sitting next to me were women of all different ages, from all parts of the world: Tunesia, China, USA, Germany, Japan, and Korea. I thought for a moment how special it was to be all together learning about the culture of another country. Talk about Cross-Cultural-Communication!

Today I heard a podcast with Neal Donald Walsh and Debbie Ford. He talked about how an awareness and understanding of our perspectives can help us to be at peace even in times of high stress when life throws us a curve ball. He said that our perspective creates our perception, our perceptions creates our beliefs, our beliefs create our behaviors, our behaviors create our present reality and then coming full circle, our present reality creates our next perspective.
